About Thomas Hale

Working as a mechanic in manufacturing at a young age is where I became interested in gage repair. In 1986 I was hired as a QC inspector, and shortly after that I took a position in the calibration lab at Heidelberg Harris in Dover NH. This position allowed me to attend several gage repair seminars with most American gage manufacturing companies. Ex: Starrett, Standard Gage, Mitutoyo, Federal, ITW Southern Gage. In 1996 I started Mainely Gage Repair. In 1997 I was contracted by New Hampshire Community Technical College to instruct practical tool use training for corporate contracts they had. My emphasis since has been on the repair end in my shop.

Broken/damaged parts will be replaced. Calibrated masters are used to verify accuracy after a repair. If I can't fix the gage you will not be billed or charged a bench fee for that specific gage.

My business has fast turnaround time. I can process your repair request and fix your measuring instruments generally in 2-3 weeks. I have a large inventory of replacement parts for most makes and models of gages used in shops across the United States. Sometimes spare parts are back ordered or older model gages are harder to get replacement parts for, but will communicate delays with my customers.
